Step by Step Method
Step 1
Put a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground turkey in 1 tablespoon oil until just starting to brown crumbling it as you go. This will take about 10-15 minutes. Add in onions bell peppers and garlic; cook 5 minutes more. Drain off any excess liquid, then transfer to 6-quart slow cooker.
Step 2
Add remaining ingredients (except sour cream and cheddar cheese) to slow cooker, stir well to combine, and cover. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
Step 3
Thirty (30) minutes before you finish cooking, add sour cream and cheese to the slow cooker and stir well. Cover and allow to cook into the dish. Serve and enjoy!
