Step by Step Method

Step 1

Put a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground turkey in 1 tablespoon oil until just starting to brown crumbling it as you go. This will take about 10-15 minutes. Add in onions bell peppers and garlic; cook 5 minutes more. Drain off any excess liquid, then transfer to 6-quart slow cooker.

Step 2

Add remaining ingredients (except sour cream and cheddar cheese) to slow cooker, stir well to combine, and cover. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.

Step 3

Thirty (30) minutes before you finish cooking, add sour cream and cheese to the slow cooker and stir well. Cover and allow to cook into the dish. Serve and enjoy!

this is good but next time I will cut down the spices. I halved the recipe without any problems (cutting everything in half except for the soup) and found this very easy to half. I did top my portion with some additional sour cream. Thanks for sharing!
