"You will never have to buy Hershey's syrup again this is as good as (if not better) than the the original. This does thicken up in the fridge. I've been making this for years."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
If you using half milk and water be carful not to scorch the bottom of you saucepan. Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Add water, and mix until smooth. Bring this mixture to a boil. Allow it to boil for one minute, be careful this does not over boil. Remove from heat, when this cools slightly add the vanilla.
Step 2
Cool to room temperature then refrigerate, it will thicken in the fridge.
