Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water - if you like a creamy chocolate syrup use half water and milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: If you using half milk and water be carful not to scorch the bottom of you saucepan. Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Add water, and mix until smooth. Bring this mixture to a boil. Allow it to boil for one minute, be careful this does not over boil. Remove from heat, when this cools slightly add the vanilla.

  • Step 2: Cool to room temperature then refrigerate, it will thicken in the fridge.
