I used a light fruit cake and dark chocolate chips for these chocolate balls. Although, I think the light cake would have suited the milk chocolate chips which were listed in the ingredients. I also rolled the balls in chocolate sprinkles whilst they were moist, and the looked amazing. I must admit I was in 2 minds about these .....BUT everybody else in the family loved these! I would love to try this using leftover Christmas pudding or a dark fruit cake. These were very rich and decadent and I will be trying these again with a dark cake or pudding....perhaps a dash of brandy! lol Everybody who tried these loved them..... and they are so easy to make! Note: I found using wet hands was so much easier to roll the balls.
