Daily Inspiration

Made these delicious chocolate clusters with my granddaughters and we had a blast making them. They are really easy to make and the kids loved them. I used some honey roasted peanuts vs. regular ones; otherwise, made according to the recipe and they turned out great.

Just love these treats!!! My sister made these for me when I was off to Basic Training (Air Force) and then to Technical School, back when I was a eighteen. She made me an Easter Basket, to bring me when they came to visit me in Mississippi, and these haystacks were among the candy/treats in the basket. Hadn't had these for years, so this was a fun reminder which I shared with my son and his girlfriend on Christmas Day. She just loved them as well!! Thanks for sharing the recipe and bringing back fun memories, Bea!!! Made for Sweet December Event.

Addictive little candies! Love the butterscotch with the chocolate, salty from the peanuts, and crunch from the chow mein noodles. I think I would add some raisins or for the holidays dried cranberries. Do keep an eye on the chocolate and butterscotch chips if melting in the microwave. I started out with 30 seconds then stirred and put back in until completely melted. Also gave the peanuts and chow mein noodles a rough chop before adding them to the chocolate mixture. Will make this recipe again! Made and reviewed for the Traditional Christmas Favorites.
