Step 1

Boil and dice potatoes (I peel them).

Step 2

Saute onion i1 tablespoon oil and remove to a bowl.

Step 3

Cook ground meat and drain.

Step 4

Layer in oiled 2 qt casserole dish - potatoes, meat, sauce, 1/2 cheese, and 1/3 of the bacon.

Step 5

Repeat but hold cheese and bacon until the last 10 minutes of baking.

Step 6

Bake covered in a 375F oven for 30 minutes.

Step 7

Uncover, add cheese and bacon and bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.
