Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut steak into 4 pieces. Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper and the cayenne pepper in a small bowl.pound into steak with a meat mallet.
Step 2
Coat the steak on both sides in flour mixture (make sure the flour sticks to the steak firmly).
Step 3
Heat oil in a large skillet; add steak. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes per side. Place steak in a medium greased baking dish (11x7 will work okay).
Step 4
Top steak with onion slices. Pour tomato sauce over steak and onions.
Step 5
Bake until steak is tender, about 40 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over steak. Bake steak until cheese melts, about 5 minutes.
