  • For best results, use fresh shrimp in this recipe.
  • When selecting a Cajun seasoning, look for one with a flavor profile that you enjoy.

  • Substitution 1: Use gluten-free pasta, such as brown rice pasta, instead of angel hair pasta. Benefit: This substitution makes the recipe gluten-free, which is beneficial for those with gluten sensitivities or allergies.
  • Substitution 2: Use olive oil instead of butter. Benefit: This substitution makes the recipe healthier, as olive oil is a healthier fat than butter. Additionally, it can help the recipe to be vegan-friendly.

Lemon Shrimp Pasta In sauce pan, replace butter with olive oil and cajun seasoning with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Cook shrimp in olive oil and lemon juice mixture. Add cream and green onions to the mixture and toss with drained pasta. Add a little pasta water if too tight.

Grilled Corn with Parmesan and Lime: This side dish is the perfect accompaniment to Cajun Shrimp Pasta. The sweetness of the corn combined with the salty Parmesan and zesty lime will bring out the flavors of the Cajun seasoning in the shrimp.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes: Roasted garlic mashed potatoes are a great complement to the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. The creamy texture of the potatoes pairs well with the spicy shrimp, and the garlic adds a subtle background flavor that will bring out the flavors of the Cajun seasoning.
