In a shallow skillet fry bacon crisp. Remove from skillet.
Split lengthwise 3/4 through hot dog.
Open hot dog so it can lay flat - cut side down. Place in skillet.
Fry in bacon grease until thoroughly heated or browned on both sides.
Remove from heat.
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
Assemble sandwich by layering lettuce, tomato, bacon, and hotdogs.
Cut in half. Serve.
