"I got this idea from a recipe by QueenBea called Homemade Popsicles: recipe #448. So her recipe morphed into one of our favorite frozen treats."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Stir sugar, Jello and Kool-Aid mixture together with 2 cups of boiling water until thoroughly mixed.

Step 2

After mixed thoroughly, add two cups of cold water.

Step 3

Let mixture sit out for about 30 minutes to cool.

Step 4

Place liquid in six 12 ounce plastic cups (I use semi clear) about half way full and freeze for about 5-6 hours.

Step 5

At the end of the 5-6 hours, remove the cups from freezer and use an ice cream scoop to scoop out 1/2 of the semi-frozen Jello mixture from each cup, one at a time and place the scoop in a bowl.

Step 6

Scoop out a scoop of vanilla ice cream and place it into the cup where the Jello mix was scooped out of and press it down into the cup

Step 7

Then take the Jello mixture that was scooped out and place it back in the cup on top of the vanilla ice cream and press it down.

Step 8

Next take another scoop of vanilla ice cream and place it on top of the frozen Jello mixture and press it down.

Step 9

Do the same with each plastic cup.

Step 10

Each cup should be layered with Jello mixture, ice cream, Jello mixture and ice cream creating a parfait.

Step 11

Place cups back in the freezer and freeze for an additional 4 hours and cover them with foil.

Step 12

Garnish with whip cream and enjoy!
