"If you eat these more than a couple of times per year, you may shorten your lifespan, but it might be worth it. This is a simple, no-drain recipe. It saves a pot and makes the cook happy! The green onions and poppy seed are entirely optional, but they fancy it up a bit."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Bring water, boullion, and one-half stick of the butter to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Add your noodles, and cook according to directions or until al dente. Stir FREQUENTLY, or this will be one sorry, gummy mess.

Step 3

During the last minute of cooking, add the remaining butter (I know, but just do it!) and green onions, if using.

Step 4

Sprinkle with poppy seeds and serve. Do not tell your dinner guests how much butter you used.

I didn't even have to drain the noodles. This recipe was PERFECT for a busy night when I was just trying to get food onto the table. The kids LOVED the noodles and asked me to make it again. Economical, delicious and filling. Made for the B'Zazzled Tag Game here in the 'Zazz games forum!
