"I found this one of the Taste of Home recipe magazines. Everyone I have given it too loves it and says the crust is to die for. It makes enough to bring to a potluck or plenty for everyone in your home.I added the pinch of baking powder it makes it more tender. guess for prep times"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
In Large bowl combine 4 cup flour, 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 tsp salt
Step 2
Cut in 1 3/4 cup cold shortening. stir til moistened. Form in roll cover and refrigerate 1-2 hours
Step 3
Roll out 2/3 dough to 18x14 place bottom and up sides of 13x9 glass dish
Step 4
Combine blackberries, 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup flour. Pour into crust
Step 5
Use remaining dough to make lattice strips. place over the filling. brush with cream. Bake 400 for 15 minutes. reduce heat to 350 bake 1 more hour or until bubbly Cool completely. Store in refrigerator
