"I originally found the basic recipe in the 2004 TOH "The Best of Country Cooking.It was sent in to them by Rose Purrington of Minnesota. But due to what was on hand and personal tastes, the recipe was changed some what. The original had cheese added,but I thought it was much better without it. If you can't find the beans that are used in the recipe,feel free to use whatever you have on hand and add 1/3 cup brown sugar with 1/2 cup cooked crisp and crumbled bacon.The longer you let this simmer the better. Step 1

In a large skillet over medium heat,cook ground beef and onion until beef is lightly browned.

Step 2

Drain beef/onion and return to skillet.

Step 3

Add remaining ingredients and stir well to combine,reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
