I so wanted to love this dish...but it really lacked seasoning...and there really wasn't any liquid left after cooking the beans until they were tender that the dish was on the dry side...I'm not sure if that was meant to be or not...I served it with a side of corn bread...I did doctor it up with additional spices...more chili powder, garlic powder, cumin and cajun seasoning...that helped the flavoring...and I threw in some beef stock to add more liquid...thanks for sharing your recipe...made for FYC tag game...
