"This juicy burger is exploding with spicy-sweet savory meaty herb flavor. And it has bacon. I’d had some leftover cranberry sauce I had made recently for a roast turkey breast and thought to use it as part of a turkey burger. I’m glad I did. Mixed with the smoky hot flavor of chipotle peppers and mayonnaise, it makes a seriously amazing sauce. And as well, while some turkey burgers can be overly dry, tasteless hockey pucks, this one is smart with fresh herb flavor, and is quite juicy. I owe it to the stuffing mix in the meat, as well as simmering these in the juice. These are really good. And I am glad you decided to take a peek at the recipe, because you don’t want to miss this one. It is going to make your Autumn burger cravings a spiritual experience."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Method for Cranberry-Chipotle Mayo: Pulse mayo, chipotle peppers and cranberry sauce in the small bowl of your food processor until smooth. It should turn kind of pink. Go ahead and refrigerate that one until you need it. Extra can be used on cold cut sandwiches.

Step 2

Method for making burgers: Place chopped onion and water in a microwavable cup, cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Drain if necessary (I didn’t need to).

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the ground turkey, microwaved onions, sage, thyme, garlic, salt, pepper and crushed stuffing mix.

Step 4

For mixture into four burger patties, place on a wax paper lined plate and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Step 5

Heat a large skillet and add burger patties, browning on both sides.

Step 6

Add apple juice to the pan, cover, and simmer until apple juice is absorbed and the inside temperature on the burgers reaches 165F.

Step 7

Serve burgers on a toasted bun, with cheddar cheese, crisp bacon, and cranberry-chipotle mayo, along with any other toppings you desire.
