Step 1

Use 1 large, at least 10 ounces, coffee mug. Add all dry ingredients to mug and mix well.

Step 2

Add egg and mix well.

Step 3

Add milk and oil and mix well.

Step 4

Add chocolate chips and vanilla, if using, mix well.

Step 5

Place mug in microwave and cook for 3 minutes on High in a 1,000 watt oven. You may need to adjust time for your microwave.

Step 6

Cake will rise over the top of the mug slightly, don't be alarmed. Allow to cool slightly and tip out onto a plate OR eat right from the mug.

Step 7

This can serve two if you are feeling in a generous mood or one if PMS is setting in.

Love this recipe! I can't even tell you how many times I've indulged in this recipe in the middle of the night! Takes 2 mins to whip up some frosting of your choice. Top it with some ice-cream and enjoy any time!
