Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix the first 11 ingredients together (ground turkey through to ground pepper), and form into 4 even patties. Set aside.
Step 2
Pour the oil into a large oven-proof skillet and bring to medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes per side, until you have a nice golden crust and no pink in the middle. (This will depend on how thick you have made your patties. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit)
Step 3
Remove the patties and set aside.
Step 4
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 5
Pour the wine into the skillet and cook over medium-high heat, scraping up the bits on the bottom, until it is reduced by half.
Step 6
Place 2 tablespoons of the turkey broth in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 7
Pout the remaining broth into the skillet, and bring it to a boil over high heat.
Step 8
Mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch with the 2 tablespoons turkey broth that was set aside and pour into the boiling broth. Whisk until it thickens, then remove from heat.
Step 9
Put the patties into the skillet and place in the oven.
Step 10
Cook for 30 minutes and turn over, cook for another 30 minutes or until the gravy is bubbling around the patties.
Step 11
Serve with mashed potatoes to drizzle the gravy over.
Step 12
Enjoy!
