Sausage Pizza Style Scalloped Potatoes
"This recipe was first posted on another site back in 2008. ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:I was wanting a Sausage Pizza,but I didn't have the ingredients to make a crust.So, I was looking through my cabinets, and found a box of scalloped potatoes and came up with this recipe.Please feel free to add more of your favorite pizza toppings. Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Step 2
In a medium skillet, over medium heat add pork, onion, and bell pepper.
Step 3
Cook until pork is no longer pink and the veggies are tender.
Step 4
While pork/veggie mixture is cooking,make potatoes according to directions on package.
Step 5
If needed, drain pork/veggie add to potatoes.
Step 6
Pour into a 2 quart baking dish.
Step 7
Bake for 20 minutes, then top with remaining cheese.
Step 8
Return to oven for 10 more minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.
Step 9
Let stand for 10 more minutes, so sauce can thicken.
