"This is not my recipe; but I have been making it for years. It is a bit lighter; but, has tons of flavor. Just a great recipe for a party. This originally came from spain.recipes.com - and, it's really a delicious Sangria. This will serve about 8-10 people, 2 glasses each."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Sangria Base ... I like to make this in the morning; or, at least 3-4 hours ahead of time, so it can develop all the flavors. Add everything except the strawberries and the lemon lime soda to a jug or bowl that can be covered. I bought one, just for sangria, which has a wide top, and even a spout to pour. But you can also use a large bowl or even a tupperware container. That is what I used for years, and it worked great. It had a lid; and, it was plenty big enough. I just poured it into a punch bowl or pitcher before serving. My point is ... use what you have.
Step 2
Finish ... Right before serving, add the strawberries and soda. Mix and enjoy. Some people prefer it over ice, some don' - that is up to you. For a nice touch. Freeze 2-3 ice cube trays with 2 or 3 blueberries in each cube. Then, pour the sangria over the cubes - they keep the sangria cold; and, add a nice flavor without watering it down too much.
Step 3
Note: You can add more or less of the soda according to your tastes - this is just the amount I prefer. It really is a personal preference.
Step 4
Serve and ENJOY! ... Make sure to add some of the fruit with the Sangria when served. Perfect for a party!
