Step by Step Method

To make syrup:


Step 1

Place all syrup ingredients into a saucepan and boil 30 minutes.

Step 2

Strain and allow to cool completely before use.

Step 3

Store in covered container in refrigerator.

To make cocktail:


Step 4

Place 1 ounce syrup with vodka (or gin) and lemon slices over ice in shaker. Shake well.

Step 5

Strain into a rocks glass and add a splash of soda.

Step 6

Garnish with rosemary sprig.

Ohhhh, this is GOOD! The rosemary came through so nicely, and with the rest, it's overly good. I gave a slight squeeze of lemon and served it over ice. A wonderful drink for any season. Thanks so much, Mikekey, for sharing this lovely! Made it for Only the Lonely tag game.
