"Another favourite from my mom's cookbook Delicious with the dates and orange complimenting each other making for a lovely addition to the serving tray. Iced with orange butter frosting, topped with chopped pecans makes this a hit with family and friends, as well as at potlucks and coffee hours."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time and mix smooth
Step 2
Add Baking Powder, Baking Soda, salt and Graham crumbs, add in nuts and dates.
Step 3
Add orange juice and zest and mix well
Step 4
Bake in a 9x9 greased pan at 350 degree oven 35 to 40 minutes. When cool you may want to ice with orange icing
Step 5
Orange Icing, In a medium bowl mix butter, cream and orange juice
Step 6
Add in icing sugar, adding more if needed to make for desired consistency. I top with chopped pecans
