"If using molasses, I would use the blackstrap type. The oat bran can be soaked for 10 minutes in hot water first if desired. These muffins can be successfully frozen. Variants: Fold in ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries or 1 medium mashed ripe banana after combining the other ingredients."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425'.
Step 2
Line 12 medium muffin cups with paper baking cups or grease bottoms only.

Combine the first 4 (dry) ingredients.
Step 4
Combine the other ingredients and add to the dry ingredients, mixing just until moistened.
Step 5
Fill muffin cups almost full.
Step 6
Bake 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.
