Step 1

In skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat.

Step 2

Add onion and cook 5 to 10 minutes or until tender and golden brown, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Cook turkey patties as specified on the package.

Step 4

Always cook to well-done, 165ºF as measured by a meat thermometer.

Step 5

Place 1 cheese slice over each slice of bread. Add patties and top with onions.

Step 6

Close sandwiches with remaining bread, cheese side down.

Step 7

In skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter.

Step 8

Cook sandwiches 3 minutes per side or until browned and cheese is melted.

These are easy and taste great. I cut recipe down for 2 and next time I will double the onions. I also subbed provolone slices for the American cheese, as we don’t care for it.
