Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a saucepan over medium heat add the milk and whisky and then stir in the honey, ginger and cinnamon.

Step 2

Slowly heat the milk punch without letting it come to a boil, whisky constantly.

Step 3

Pour into two warm mugs and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.

I was tempted to cut down on the whiskey, but based on ForeverMama's review I went with the whole thing! This is simply delicious, and goes down so warmly! I love that you get that hint of "eggnog" without the heaviness of it. I poured most of the punch into the warmed mug, then used a milk frother on the last little bit. Made it look extra "fancy" before sprinkling on the nutmeg! Thanks for sharing, Ellie!

Oh my, this is SO GOOD! It's got all that warming feeling and not boozy at all. I did cut down on the whisky a touch, but the full amount would have been perfect. So good. Best of stuff. Thank you, ellie, for sharing.
