Step by Step Method

Step 1

Stir together the harissa or the chile powder, ginger, cumin, turmeric,and salt to blend. Toss the pork with the spices,coating all sides.

Step 2

Mix the tahini with 2 tablespoons of the lemon juice. The tahini will thicken, and that's fine.

Step 3

Warm the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the pork cubes and cook for a minute or so, just to brown them on all sides. Pour in the honey, stir to coat the meat and cook for minute. Add the vinegar, quickly followed by the water, and stir to deglaze the pan, picking up whatever bits have stuck to the pan. Lower the heat, stir in the tahini mix and cook for a few minutes until the sauce is smooth and the pork is cooked through. Remove from the heat,stir in the remaining lemon juice, taste for salt and season with pepper.

Step 4

Turn the pork out onto a serving platter and sprinkle with the cilantro and sesame seeds. Goes really well with a side of sauteed baby spinach.

Wonderful tender and juicy pork! I too had to use chili powder, and added a wee bit of cayenne for a kick. DH is excited that there are leftovers! I did all the mise en place before starting to cook and you are right...lightening fast! Served with basmati rice and steamed broccoli. Thank you for another keeper ForeverMama! A great recipe for pork tenderloin. Didn't have harissa powder so used chili powder, only had one lemon on hand worked well for me. Served with rice and a green salad for an lovely evening meal. Found this to be very freezer friendly. Another keeper.
