Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 2 1/2- to 3-qt. baking dish.
Step 2
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon until beginning to brown but still limp. Stir in onion and jalapeno and cook until soft and translucent and bacon is crisp, about 5 minutes more. Spoon mixture into prepared baking dish. Add baked beans, chili sauce, Worcestershire, mustard, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper. Stir, taste to check seasonings, and add more salt if you like.
Step 3
Bake uncovered, until bubbly throughout with a bit of browned crust around the edges of dish, about 45 minutes. Serve hot.
