"As promised, this is the 2nd of 2 Taste of Home beverage recipes using a slow cooker & Red Hot Cinnamon Candies (2 of my favorite things). This recipe was originally published as "Hot Cranberry Punch" in Quick Cooking, March/April issue of 2000 on Pg 45, but there's still 1 more Taste of Home beverage recipe to go that also uses a crock pot. Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a 5-quart slow cooker, combine water, sugar & juices. Stir until sugar is dissolved. If desired, place cloves in a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth & tie w/string to form a bag. Add spice bag & Red Hots to slow cooker. Cover & cook on low setting for 2-3 hours or until heated through. Before serving, discard spice bag & stir punch.
Step 2
Yield: 3 1/2 quarts = 14 1-cup servings, 21 3/4-cup servings or 28 1/2-cup servings.
