Step 1
In saucepan, combine rhubarb and water; bring to boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Strain into heatproof bowl or pot; return to saucepan. Stir in sugar; bring to boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Transfer to storage container; cover and refrigerate until needed. Makes about 8 cups (2 L).
