"These are fantastic! They are so crispy and tasty you won't be able to stop eating them! Serve them as an appetizer, snack, or side dish. The are best served with a creamy dip like my #recipe683"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Slice each pickle into 4 wedges and pat dry with a paper towel.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, seasoned salt, pepper and baking powder; set aside.

Step 3

Whisk together 1/4 cup club soda with the egg; set aside.

Step 4

Heat the oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit in a large pot.

Step 5

Add the club soda and egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix well. You want this to have the consistency of pancake batter, add more club soda if needed. (This will depend on the type of flour you are using and the size of the egg)

Step 6

Fold the pickles into the batter making sure they are well coated.

Step 7

Drop them into the hot oil, one at a time.

Step 8

Cook until they are a nice golden brown, about 5 to 6 minutes.

Step 9

Remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon, dropping them onto a couple of layers of paper towel.

Step 10

Serve with your favorite dip. (I use my recipe for Moms veggie Dip)

Step 11

Enjoy!
