  • The following recipe serves 6-8 people.

Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 32 ounces dill pickles (8 large pickles)
  • 1/2 cup gluten free flour blend (I use Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 baking blend)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup club soda
  • 1 quart vegetable or peanut oil
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Slice each pickle into 4 wedges and pat dry with a paper towel.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, seasoned salt, pepper and baking powder; set aside.

  • Step 3: Whisk together 1/4 cup club soda with the egg; set aside.

  • Step 4: Heat the oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit in a large pot.

  • Step 5: Add the club soda and egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix well. You want this to have the consistency of pancake batter, add more club soda if needed. (This will depend on the type of flour you are using and the size of the egg)

  • Step 6: Fold the pickles into the batter making sure they are well coated.

  • Step 7: Drop them into the hot oil, one at a time.

  • Step 8: Cook until they are a nice golden brown, about 5 to 6 minutes.

  • Step 9: Remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon, dropping them onto a couple of layers of paper towel.

  • Step 10: Serve with your favorite dip. (I use my recipe for Moms veggie Dip)

  • Step 11: Enjoy!
