"Nobody knows why, but if this drink is feasted on St. Patrick's day, legend has it that it's 100% guaranteed (I'm dead serious) to bring good luck or bearing/begetting a red-headed child. However, it can be feasted at anytime, but with a 0 - 40% chance to bring good luck or a red-headed child if drinking it outside of St. Patrick's Day. Hey, all I can say, is it's worked for me and for ALL those I know. Surgeon General Warning: Don't drink while pregnant. No harm done if drinking prior to being in the family way, I tink."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

If desired, rim a chilled cocktail glass with sugar, by wiping a piece of lemon around the rim to wet it, then roll it in a shallow dish of white sugar to get an even coat.

Step 2

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the spearmint leaves and muddle them like crazy (as if you had freckles in your temper, lass). Pour the bourbon, limoncello, lemon sour. Shake well.

Step 3

Strain into the prepared cocktail glass. I like it with ice in the glass, and with some torn mint leaves afloat.

Step 4

Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Step 5

Serve and enjoy!
