Step by Step Method
Step 1
Heat oven to 350.
Step 2
Mix butter, sugar and egg yolk. Mix in flour. Press evenly into the bottom of a square 8x8x2 inch baking pan.

Bake 10 minutes.
Step 4
Spread with jelly.
Step 5
To make topping, beat egg white until foamy. Add cinnamon and sugar, beating till stiff and glossy. Fold in filberts
Step 6
Spread topping over jam.
Step 7
Bake 20 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
Step 8
Cool slightly and cut into bars.
