Step by Step Method
Step 1
Marinade ... Add all the ingredients to a large ziplock bag or bowl and mix well. Then add in the brisket and massage, making sure to rub in the marinade over all the meat. Seal the bag or cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate, all day, all night and the following day (at least 24-32 hours), it doesn't have to be exact.
Step 2
Crock Pot ... Let the beef rest a bit at room temperature so it isn't ice cold; add to the crock pot along with any marinade in the bag and the sliced onion; turn on low, cover and let it cook. About 8-10 hours. It really depends on your crock pot. My older one takes 9 1/2 hours, my larger but newer one takes 7 1/2. So, just check, every crock pot is different.
Step 3
Serve ... Let it rest at least 5-10 minutes, then slice (against the grain). ENJOY! Serve with anything you like. And the leftovers are wonderful.
