Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix together wine and water in a saucepan.
Step 2
Heat over a very low flame (or electric element), and DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL.
Step 3
Remove from heat and stir until syrup is dissolved.
Step 4
Pour into mugs, and top each with a pat of butter.
Step 5
Supply cinnamon sticks to be used as stirrers.
Step 6
Makes 2 quarts; recipe can be halved or doubled.
