"My departed FIL was well known for this sauce. It's a sweet hot bbq sauce. It was a day long process for him to smoke a pork shoulder while the sauce was simmering. He would shred the pork, place on a burger bun, drizzle with the warm sauce, plop on some cole slaw, put the lid on the bun, then wait for the compliments. They were never in short supply."

We loved this sweet and tangy sauce. I used it for a potluck at work, and let the roast I had made in the crock pot, swim in it for 6 hours. Big hit and everyone loved it. Thanks Racr!

Sweet, spicy sauce...great on chicken (so far)! I did simmer the sauce for 2 hours, but due to the thickness of the bbq sauce that I used, it came out really thick (my error). So I thinned it a wee bit with water and apricot puree. Turned out great. I had leftover rotisserie chicken, and heated it up a wee bit and then brushed the pieces with the sauce and popped it under the broiler for a few minutes. It turned out wonderful. Next time I will be using it on the bbq. Will definately be trying it on pork. Thank you for sharing!
