"This is just a very simple moist tasty coffee cake. This is one of my school recipes that I kept. "

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon

Step 2

In another bowl beat the eggs then add in the sugar, milk and melted butter and mix

Step 3

Add the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and mix quickly with a fork

Step 4

Pour the batter into a well greased 8" square pan

Step 5

Mix together the topping mixture of butter, flour, walnuts and brown sugar until crumbled texture and sprinkle on top of cake batter mixture

Step 6

Bake in a preheated 375 oven for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean

Step 7

If you wish it to be a bit sweeter you can drizzle a bit of regular icing on top. A drizzle not a layer
