"Sweetie eats these almost as fast as I make them. Use as high quality cinnamon as you can afford to make this recipe. This is similar the the flavored almonds available at our local fairs."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Line a baking sheet with waxed paper, set aside. Stir together water, sugar and cinnamon in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Leave plenty of room to work, this is going to be your "mixing bowl". Over medium heat, bring ingredients to a full boil.

Step 2

Add almonds to boiling sugar mixture. Cook and stir constantly until water begins cooking off. Sugar mixture will thicken and coat the almonds.

Step 3

Keep stirring until mixture starts to crystallize and get a little dry. Pour onto prepared baking sheet. Using forks, mixture will be burning hot, separate almonds into single layer. Allow to cool. Store in airtight container.

Super delicious and VERY addictive! I usually have almonds in the house because my husband likes to take a handful of almonds in his lunch every day. Using this recipe, I turned those plain almonds into a scrumptious tasty snack. You won’t be able to eat just a few of these delectable almonds! You will be eating them until the bowl is empty! I’ll be making these again for sure! Thanks Racrgal, for sharing this recipe.
