Recipe: #34852
May 05, 2020
"We like our chili a little more brothy rather than thick; more of a 'stewp'. This is made with very lean ground turkey to make it heart healthy."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large saucepan, heat oil on medium heat. Add onions and peppers and saute till softened.
Step 2
Add turkey and break up as it's cooking. Cook until turkey is no longer pink.
Step 3
Add chili seasoning and stir into meat mixture and let cook for a few minutes to let flavor bloom.
Step 4
Add in chicken stock, black beans with packed juice (it thickens it just a little), sugar and lime juice.
Step 5
Stir well. Bring to a boil, then lower temp to low. Let simmer for 30-45 minutes. Add most of the cilantro saving a little for garnish.
Step 6
Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with remaining cilantro. Enjoy.
