Step by Step Method

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, lemon juice, seasoning salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Mix ingredients lightly with a fork. Don’t mash or the loaves will be dense. Divide the mixture into 6 portions, and shape each portion into a mini loaf on a sheet pan.

Step 4

Bake for 15 minutes.

Step 5

While the mini loaves are baking, make the glaze.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, cloves and allspice.

Step 7

After the mini loaves have baked for 15 minutes, brush some of the glaze on each loaf and return to the oven.

Step 8

Bake for another 15 minutes, or until cooked through.

Delicious comfort food. Cut down by half, and it was plenty for two of us. Topping is excellent, and they took no time to make and bake! Mashed potatoes and peas went with it for one heck of a good supper!

These mini loaves take no time to get in the oven and to the table. They were very good and the kiddies liked them! I made salad and baked potatoes to have with them. Yum!

My girls and fiance loved these mini loaves, and I loved that they took no time to bake. I didn't use the allspice or cloves though. Still very tasty!

These take no time at all to make and serve. We liked the individual servings with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh string beans and bacon.

I made these up and froze them to have on those nights you are too busy or worn out to cook, and I love these little lifesavers! They taste great and are juicy and delicious. I usually serve up some type of mashed potatoes and veggie with these to complete the meal.

These little loaves are just perfect for me since I am trying to lose weight. They are just the right amount for a single serving. I loved the delicious coating and all you have to do is serve them on the plate when they are done. Don't even have to cut them before serving! Thank you for sharing it with us Melmel! Linda
