What WAS on Your Plate & WHAT'S for Dinner 12/20-12/21

5 DAYS AND COUNTING!
Sorry, I Forgot About Yesterday ... A Bit Busy ... And, A Bit Under The Weather :(

Today's Cooking...
Lady #3+5 Family: A platter of grilled food - Skirt steak w/garlic herb butter, scallop skewers wrapped in bacon, BBQ shrimp skewers, zucchini planks/asparagus spears/grape tomatoes, fingerling potatoes, creminis stuffed w/blue cheese; even a grilled romaine and endive salad w/green goddess vinaigrette; anchovy garlic baguettes. And, grilled pound cake w/grilled pears in rum w/walnut ice cream.
All served family style on the grill; outside, very casual

Me: Still not feeling great, fighting it. Last night, I just had eggs/toast. Tonight, maybe just a bowl of soup from my freezer stash and fresh fruit.

I am making a roasted chicken with an asian rub, roasted eggplant with a miso glaze, and started some bone broth. Probably rice with the chicken. Lunch was leftover minestrone soup

I don't blame you. I often, just plan something quick to grill or leftovers. Perfect way to go!!!

KC, sorry you're not feeling well. It's going around.
Last night I made sausage gravy and mountain high fluffy biscuits, and a little honey drizzled over top.
Tonight I made Lemon-Rosemary Spaghetti with shrimp instead of chicken http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/lemon- ... icken-5089

I haven't felt very hungry; but, hanging in there. Thx Lovin, hopefully, I can ward it off.
But, that gravy and biscuits sure sounds good.
Pasta sounds good too.

It's Wednesday Once Again!!! And, Still Counting Down ...

Today's Cooking ...
Still fighting whatever (flu, cold); but, OK so far. Dinner was just soup last night w/a dinner roll and fruit.

Making 2 dishes for Ladies #1 and #2 for their association Xmas party. Just reheat at home; and, off to the clubhouse.
- Cauliflower - A mix of the bacon and cream from http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/caulif ... role-23126; and, using ricotta from http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/caulif ... role-14468. Adding celery and pimentos to the mix.
- Broccoli - The second dish is using a mix of broccoli/mushrooms; but, the same base mix as the cauliflower casserole.

Me: I'm still not interested in food; but need to eat. I have some meatloaf in the freezer. I'm thinking a meatloaf sandwich; fruit (I think I need more vitamin C). I want something easy and light.
