What WAS on Your Plate & WHAT'S for Dinner 10/8-10/9

Post by Kchurchill5 » Sat Oct 08, 2016 5:39 am

WELL, IT'S THE WEEKEND!
Once again; prayers to those in GA and SC in the path of Matthew!

I have a cocktail party today for all 3 ladies and 25 or so guests. Prepped everything last night. Everything will be finished this am. Posted the menu yesterday.
Very casual out on the lanai by the pool. All platters/buffet and small bites.

My dinner; probably stop by Subway on the way home. NO cooking for me.

We are having http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/crock- ... aten-21667 over rice or noodles. Didn't read the recipe in advance -- so no marinating but think it will still be good.

Sounds good to me. I'm German ... so love it. I would have to have red cabbage and spaetzle with mine, LOL.
Seriously, it looks good!!!

I have some leftover beef roast from this recipe http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/lindas ... -pot-10423 so I'll use it up tonight for beef and gravy sandwiches

Good comfort food!!! Sounds delicious. Mom always insisted on white bread; and she always topped with those canned fried onions. Brings back memories, lol. But, it was good.

We are grilling skirt steak tonight, also with skillet potatoes. Somehow I always get very hungry when I come to this site and see all the great food in that food forum with all the photos :o

Even though I'm German, I've never had sauerbraten. Sounds good though.
Love hot roast beef sandwiches with gravy, and mashed potatoes.
That skirt steak sounds delish.
Tonight I made sausage gravy over my Mountain High Fluffy Biscuits http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/mounta ... uits-23193. And I don't know about anyone else, but we always drizzle honey on it too, after it's plated.
