Very moist cake. Just the right amount of spices. Not sure the bacon grease added anything flavor wise, and will try it with cooking oil next time. My mom used to make this in the 50s, when tomato soup was 10-20 cents a can ;)

I remember my grandmother making this for our weekly dessert. We loved it back then, and this one allows me to make it once again. I used fluffy Chocolate Buttercream to frost the cake and it didn't take long to devour it. Yummy!

This cake goes way back to my childhood. We all loved it then, and now I can enjoy it with my family. They loved it by the way! Very moist and delish! Saving for repeats.

This is just like the recipe that my grandmother used to make. It is moist and super easy to prepare. Even the beginner baker can make this one! I topped mine with Chocolate frosting and it was delicious!
