"This was supposedly LBJ 's favorite roast and they cooked it stovetop probably because it was hot in Texas lol just add water if needed if you do that and cook it until tender it needs to marinate overnight. via edna earl. I'm putting in baking bag . And adding seasonings to dredging flour,they would have done that"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine marinade in large ziploc bag

Step 2

Cutting the lemon in half and squeezing all the juice

Step 3

Put in fridge and turn several times

Next day

Step 5

Take roast out of bag keeping juice for later

Dredge meat in seasoned flour

Step 7

Brown on all sides in butter

Step 8

Now it says to pour juice over the meat and bake in 325 degree Fahrenheit oven

But I think putting in baking bag THEN put in oven would make you happier .

Deglaze pan with some water then add marinade

Step 11

Put roast in baking bag

Step 12

Put marinade mixture in baking bag over

Step 13

The roast bake at 325 degrees for at least 3 hours until tender
