"This recipe is so easy... perfect for a busy morning and afternoon when you just want to come home to tender beef in gravy. I don't mix the gravy packet with the soups prior to adding to the slow cooker, but my mom does. I haven't noticed any real difference in the outcome and it saves me time (and dishes!) to just add it all to the slow cooker. But feel free to mix them before adding to the crock, if you prefer."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Spray slow cooker with non-stick spray.

Step 2

Put roast in crock; sprinkle with brown gravy mix.

Step 3

Empty cream of mushroom soup over the roast, then the French Onion Condensed Soup.

Step 4

Cook on low 6-8 hours.

You can add any vegetables you like with a pot roast to the crock pot when you add the roast. I've added onions, celery, carrots, green beans, radishes, potatoes, etc. Good with bread, mashed potatoes, rice or noodles (anything to sop up the gravy).
