"It is almost crazy to post a recipe like this. It is the highlight of our leftover turkey at Thanksgiving or Christmas for me. It is a turkey dinner between two slices of a good bread or leftover rolls from dinner. You must have a fork though to catch the filling falling on your plate. It is sooooo thick that everything falls out, but it is delicious, at least to me. And, yes, it is a cold sandwich, but Oh! so good."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Put mayonnaise on both sides of bread; arrange turkey on top of one slice.

Step 2

Place stuffing on top of turkey; add the boiled onions and cranberry-orange relish on top of the onions.

Step 3

Spread the turnip evenly on the other slice of bread; sprinkle with salt and pepper and place this slice on top of the other one.

Step 4

Now you have a sandwich that is a mile high; cut in half if you can and place on a plate if you can make it to the plate. ENJOY!

We had these for lunch yesterday, minus the onions, turnip and relish. I added cranberry sauce instead. We loved them as made!
