"This is so so delicious and something a bit different. It is NOT my recipe originally, but I have tweaked it to fit my tastes. A nice weekend casserole. A great dish to serve with green beans and a tomato salad."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Casserole ... Add the milk, miracle whip, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and parsley together and mix well. Then, add in the croutons, onions, and celery and mix to combine; letting it set 5 minutes. Then, fold in the chicken, mushrooms, and swiss cheese.

Step 2

Add the chicken mix to a 2 quart casserole dish sprayed with a non-stick spray.

Step 3

Bake ... In a 350 degree oven on the middle shelf, uncovered for 35 minutes until golden brown and heated through. Then, add the parmesan cheese and almonds and return to the oven for another 10 minutes to finish baking. This will allow the cheese to melt and the almonds to toast up. Serve ... Garnish with fresh chives and serve family style. It is an easy delicious way to use chicken. This also works very well with turkey.
