"I love ice cold beer - and margaritas!"

Step 1

Add margarita mix, tequila, and ice to a blender and pulse until smooth.

Step 2

Combine lime zest and salt in a small dish.

Step 3

Rub a lime wedge around the rim of 2 large glasses, then dip them in the lime zest-salt mixture.

Step 4

Divide margarita slushie mixture between 2 glasses. Top each with light beer (serve the rest of each beer on the side if it doesn't all fit).

Step 5

Garnish with a lime wedge if desired.

Wow, Linky, these were tasty and refreshing! This kind of reminds us of the "margarita slushies" that were a fad back in the 70s, but these are even tastier due to the margarita mix rather than just plain limeade. Hubby and I both really enjoyed these, (are enjoying these), and he votes for another round! I used gold tequila because it is what we like best, and we had Coors (Don't drink it if the mountains aren't blue) Light to add to this lovely drink! Thank you for posting this little gem, we will make this again, hopefully for friends and family if this lockdown ends! Seaside Brasserie
