"This is, as the title says a basic muffin recipe. It is meant to be used for savoury or sweet muffins, so adjust the sugar and salt as needed (Use less salt if making sweet muffins, use less sugar if making savoury muffins). You can add 3/4 cup of your fruit of choice. If using frozen fruit, do not thaw. This is one of those recipes you adjust as you go depending on what you add to it. if you like a sweet muffin, add a bit of sugar to the fruit before you toss them in to the batter. Depending on the type of fruit used you might need to add a bit of milk if you find the batter too thick."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Sift together dry ingredients.

Step 2

Make a well in the centre.

Step 3

Combine the wet ingredients then mix with dry ingredients.

Step 4

Stir only until combined.

Step 5

If using fruit, add to batter.

Step 6

Fill paper-lined muffin cups 2/3 full.

Step 7

Bake in preheated 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.
