Love weekend family time, while no gathering at my house this weekend daughter and I did a city grocery shop and enjoyed a lovely lunch. Found the jars and spices to make Chicken Vindaloo and for another of my sis in law's authentic curry recipes that have been shared by one of her co workers, a nurse at the hospital. Made both.

Enjoyed the Vindaloo for lunch yesterday, so much so daughter suggested we have a rerun instead of adding to my freezer stash. Today added the curry, I think it is a version of Madras Curry. We loved both the Vindaloo and the Chicken Curry. I have been playing with naan recipes, today think I finally about got it down for three naans more than enough for two people. Colour me happy.

Good day everyone! :)
Mom brought over some banana oatmeal muffins, so those were good with the coffee this morning. :) Had a pretty good greek rub bone-in chicken breast last night with roast carrots tossed in olive oil and coriander.

Anyone have any fun stories or cooking plans?

It's a beauty morning out there today! :)
I talked to Bea, I know she's baking. Anyone else got something on the stove or in the oven? Or smoker, or BBQ, or chopping block.. ;)

This morning I’m going to work on the St. Patty’s Day event, gathering Irish recipes to make it interesting. Yesterday I made a loaf of white bread and some buns and I made a pea soup with a ham bone. Now I have leftover ham to use up, maybe a pasta carbonara for supper?!? Not sure yet…. Anybody have other ideas for ways to use leftover ham???

You probably used it up by now, but a Jambalaya soup sounds nice.
