Sounds great Elsie ... cognac with anything ... lol. Looks good.
RR, love the recipe. If you can, take a quick pic. I'm sure they would love to see a pic of the recipe on their page ... so would we. Looks tasty. Drumsticks are so delicious and affordable. Love them.

Kchurchill5, the corn casserole is an adapted recipe that I was trying from Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken. They use a corn filling as tamales in their restaurant (The Border Grill). After trying them, I thought I could make the filling as a casserole, instead of wrapping into tamales.

Now, your pasties sound really great! :)

Thx RR, sounds good. I love corn. Two ladies I cook for love corn casserole, that is why I asked. For them ... and for me. It is so easy, but so tasty; and, lots you can do with it too.

Thanks, yes, good old pasties (a MI staple, and I am from MI). Great way to use up leftovers, roast beef, chicken, pork, even all veggie.

Kchurchill5 wrote:Sue, it works great in the micro too. I just poke a couple of holes. Bake, then it cuts really easily. Then, finish. Takes about 20 minutes total.

Parm, a little oil, and herbs is really good; and, I like Feta, olives, and spinach, too. Let us know what you end up with.
My pan for it wouldn't fit in the microwave so I did it in the oven.
I made it as a ham tetrazzini and it was very good!
Tonight I am taking it easy as we had pizza margherita with some of my canned marinara sauce and some caesar salad. Pizza is for a community blog event tomorrow celebrating Italian food.
I was going to make some treats for Halloween but they are adjusting my meds and it has left me with no energy plus arthritic pain is going wild with the humidity outside. It's very foggy ahead of the storms we expect to get tomorrow.

Home early at 10:45! :D I'm having a couple of microwaved potatoes loaded up with cheddar, bacon, sour cream, and chives. And some yogurt as a nod to healthy.

Edit:
Might as well throw Thursday's dinner in here, as I know what it'll be since I'm putting it in the oven between jobs. I'm doing my #recipe7138 with the leftovers of #recipe10665 and a couple of baked sweet potatoes. I'll be reheating mine when I get home around 2am.

Shapes, I love cabbage, bacon, and noodles. So simple ... but delicious.
Sue, a ham tettrazzini sounds good. Rest up and take care of yourself. And, it does look like you are going to get hit with some rain.

Were back to spring here. Warm 87,88 and sunny. Fall was short lived. Hopefully Sat and Sun it will cool down a bit.

Felix, your chicken sounds good.

Morning and ... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Image

Home from the midnight shift, and got a couple hours sleep. Just catching up before I head out to the yard again. Gardening is never ending down here.

My hand pies turned out really good; and they were easy. I was so tired by the time it was dinner - I threw them on a plate, and sat on the edge of the pool with my feet in the water. I was beat. I had 3 to freeze; and probably 1 for lunch tomorrow, maybe.

My co-workers is stopping by for lunch today ... I'm thinking Tijuana Flats, Mexican food. Not sure what he will bring; his choice. It is a working lunch by the way.

Dinner ... http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/greek- ... -feta-8134, but rather than pasta, toasted baguettes. And just making a half amount. Greek type of salad on the side.

Yep.
Going to have rain and wind all day and all night. Wind is going to be 20-25 mph consistent.
Our locality has NOT changed the time for the trick or treaters. What a bunch of wipes that don't want to postpone the event for the kiddos. Sunday is going to be cold, but clear and calm. A great time would have been in the afternoon.

Bill is home early today and we are going out for lunch. Tonight's dinner is still up in the air. Not sure if I am cooking- or eating out again.
I don't like eating out so much.
I can cook better food at home and I am not just blowing my horn. Time was, eating out meant having something very good. Seems like that has changed to hoping one doesn't end up in the E.R. with "Montezuma's Revenge".
If I cook it, I know what I am eating. And that soap was used where it needed to be used. All that. ;)
